What to Expect

  • Anna draws from nature and the wild, the mystics, celtic spirituality, wisdom texts, poetry, other faith traditions, science and psychology to craft a guided meditation and time of journal reflection.

  • There will be mindfulness practice to help us become present in the moment and she uses different contemplative practices such as Ignatian meditation, centering prayer, Lectio Divina, the Examen, reflective exercises and silence to help connect us to the season, the our souls and our Source.

  • The retreats are open to all, any faith background or none, beginners or experienced.

  • Each retreat will contemplate a particular theme related to the season or festival to help us connect with ourselves, the earth and the Divine.

  • Come as you are, be guided in quiet contemplation and meditation.

  • Optional circle to share your personal reflections in a held space at the end of the retreat.

‘It was just a brilliant, perfectly crafted whole, each theme being so apt and evocative. Thank you.’ Patti

The retreat are at key moments in the Celtic Wheel of the Year and Christian calendar:

Spring Equinox: New beginnings, creativity and birth/renewal and the Spring Equinox.

Easter: Contemplating the Christian season of Easter and what it means to us now.

Summer Solstice: Days of sunshine, nature in full bloom, receiving nourishment, Summer Solstice and Mid Summer.

Autumn Equinox: The shortening of days, abundance of fruit, letting go, the Autumn Equinox.

Samhain and All Souls: Samhain derives from Old Irish, meaning Summer’s end and mark the transition from light into darkness and marks the Celtic New Year. It runs from 31st October - 2nd November and corresponds with All saints and All souls in the Christian calendar. It is a time to remember those who have passed and I host the Drawing on the Ancestors online retreat.

Advent: A time of waiting, leading to the christian festival of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ.

Winter Solstice: Gathering around the shortest day of the year and reflecting on hibernation and resting.
